SERVICE DISRUPTIONS

In the coming days and months due to Omicron variant and the impact it is having on the health of our staff there could be unplanned service disruptions. We will strive to meet the basic services we have promised our community.  We ask for your patience during these trying times.  We will do our best to respond to your phone calls and emails within 24 hours.  If you are experiencing an emergency please call 211.

History

Syme Woolner Neighbourhood & Family Centre (SWNFC) was founded in 1996 through the amalgamation of Syme Family Centre and Jane/Woolner Neighbourhood Association. SWNFC builds on their legacy of providing high quality programming that engages community members from childhood through adolescence to adulthood.

SWNFC works towards a healthy, supportive and inclusive community. At Syme Woolner, our small but mighty team is shifting our resources during the rapidly evolving COVID-19 (Coronavirus) towards essential services.  We will continue to provide the following services:

Welcome to Syme Woolner Neighbourhood and Family Centre

The Syme Woolner Neighbourhood and Family Centre (SWNFC) is a not-for-profit charitable organization providing direct services and programs to the residents of the York/Weston area of Toronto. SWNFC works towards a healthy, supportive and inclusive community.

At Syme Woolner, our small but mighty team is shifting our resources during the rapidly evolving COVID-19 (Coronavirus) towards essential services.

 We will continue to provide the following services: 

  • Takeaway meals (7 days a week): Breakfast and Lunch served from 11:00am-12:30pm
  • Foodbank Food Hampers will be provided on Fridays from 10:30am-1:00pm
  • Harm-reduction supply kits will be distributed from 10:00am-2:00pm
  • Housing Support Services via phone daily from 10:00am-2:00pm
  • Early On Program please email Celena at frcfacilitator@symewoolner.org

Syme Woolner Neighbourhood and Family Centre continues to work with our community and City networks to prevent escalation of COVID-19 spread.  Providing access to clear and transparent information (Call us on 416-766-4634, 10:00am-2:00pm)

What you can do as a responsible community member

If you would like to support our work, monetary donations are the most efficient way.  They help us purchase the exact items we need on short notice, especially personal protective equipment we use for our staff.  You can make a donation through our website’s donation page.
