As a staff, Syme has given me the resources/opportunities to expand my skills and knowledge. I am able to now confidently say I am very confident and happy with where I am at. Starting off as a youth worker – not knowing how long I would be here – I am now the lead youth program staff. I supervise staff, connect with the youth and do a lot behind the scenes work. This includes administration work. All the calendars you see at the 69 Pritchard (outside of the Early ON). I have been able to use my creativity to the
fullest.

Syme has helped me in a variety of ways. When I first started at Syme, I was a
placement student. I learned many things like administration, how to engage and
interact with clients, how programs are run, etc. When I finished as a placement
student, I got hired to be an on-call EarlyON Worker. I am thankful they gave me an
opportunity and saw my full potential/commitment to the organization.
